Asheville Beer Fest

Asheville’s Winter Warmer Beer Festival

Rewind to Asheville, 2008.  The beer scene was still developing in Asheville.  In the winter, beer events were non-existent.  The Lyons’ Asheville Brews Cruise was growing, but they were looking for new opportunities to connect the community and the breweries.

The idea of a small, regional craft brew festival was born.  The first festival had 300 people in attendance, with 12 breweries pouring at the event.  Today, the event is held in downtown Asheville at the Civic/US Cellular Center.

The event now boasts 2,000 attendees and approximately 30 breweries showcasing their unique beers, with winter seasonal styles being the focus.

The festival maintains the concept of offering only craft, regional beverages and has expanded to showcase not only beer, but ciders, kombucha, and last year, even a craft sake operator poured at the event!

Tickets go on sale every September, and be sure to purchase tickets early since we’ve sold out each year. We hope to see you there! Visit the Winter Warmer Beer Festival website here.
