Meet Coby Glass
As the Charleston Brews Cruise owner, I enjoy educating and entertaining people from all over the world.
Our tours are filled with stories, history, and thought-provoking dialogue interjected with humor and trivia.
I am both a Certified Cicerone® and a Tour Guide licensed in the City of Charleston, and I am the only person I know to be both.
My professional experience has long been in the beer industry, focusing on managing high-end beer portfolios in a multi-state area.

This tour offered plenty of beer. I enjoyed the van ride because we were able to see parts of Charleston that were not in the historical section. Food was available at our stops at an additional cost, but the tour guide was determined to make sure we learned as much as possible about beer, and I never had time to worry about food. By the time the trip was over, we had learned fun new facts about Charleston and the other people on the tour.

We had a fantastic time with this tour and I cannot recommend it enough! We did the Pubs, Taverns, and Taprooms tour on a Wednesday in late October. Coby was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. The breadth of Charleston history that he was able to cram into 3 hours was incredible. He covered broad themes in Charleston history through many detailed and riveting stories of smaller events. While we almost failed the only "test" he gave us, I would give him an A+. In addition to the history, his knowledge of beer led us to some really great picks at each stop.

My wife and I joined Coby Glass on October 19, 2023 on the Pub Tour. We had a wonderful time. Coby did a great job, bringing historical information, comedy and excellent information regarding the brewery's we visited the multiple beer options to choose from. We loved the back alleys and short cuts we took as we walked around town. Coby was very willing to answer all of our questions. It was money well spent.
