Take Me Out to the Ballgame

The Carolina Mudcats in Zebulon are hosting the Potomac Nationals all weekend. There will be $2 16oz Drafts and $1 Cokes on Thursday, fireworks on Friday, and more fun both Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, Father’s Day, the Mudcats will be giving away souvenir BBQ aprons before the game to the first 1200 fans ages 15 and older.

Peak City Pig Fest

For all you BBQ-loving dads, head to Peak City Pig Fest in downtown Apex where you’ll experience teams from across the US competing for prize money with their chicken, ribs, beef brisket, and pork. On Saturday, they’ll have a kid’s area and pig races in this event sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society.
