Festival and Event Update – January and February
In order to let more people know about tours on The Maine Brew Bus, we like to bring our show on the road.
Every year we travel around New England and display at over two dozen beer festivals.
People attending beer festivals have already traveled a bit to spend a little money and drink a lot of beer. These are definitely our kind of people!
Our display at the recent Harvest on the Harbor Marketplace event in Portland.
Our Wheel of Brew Trivia is an effective technique to get people to stop by to talk to us – even though we do not have any beer!
The Wheel helps show our educational component to people. We work to convince guests to consider traveling to Portland, Maine for their next Beercation getaway. We also encourage them to check out our tours as a fun and safe way to get in-the-know about the great craft breweries we have in the Southern Maine area.
Here are some of our confirmed appearances at upcoming events over the next two months.
America On Tap – Cross Insurance Center, Bangor, ME Saturday January 16th. (2 sessions: 12-3 and 6-9pm)
America On Tap – Cross Insurance Arena, Portland, ME Saturday January 30th. (2 sessions: 1-4 and 6-9pm)
Rhode Island Brew Fest – Pawtucket Armory, Pawtucket, RI Saturday January 30th 1-8:30pm (2 sessions: 1-4, 5:30-8:30)
Boston Globe Travel Show/Beer Pavilion – Seaport World Trade Center, Boston, MA Saturday February 20th 12-6pm (2 sessions: 12-2:30, 3:30-6) Sunday February 21st (1 session: 1-3:30pm)
Bearded Brewfest – University of Southern Maine Sullivan Gym, Portland, ME Saturday March 19th (1 session: 1-5pm)
Make plans to visit these (say hi to us) or other beer festivals this year to try the best craft beers in these local areas. Maybe try going to a beer festival in a different state to help you find the up and coming breweries in New England.
And if you are coming to Portland for an upcoming weekend or for a beer event, make sure to check out new tour itineraries on The Maine Brew Bus.
Playing our Wheel of Brew Trivia game is a highlight for many beer festival participants.
