St. Charles features charming neighborhoods, historic buildings, and shaded parks on the banks of the scenic Fox River. It makes the ideal place for one of our walking tours stopping at 3 breweries.

St. Charles, “The Pride of the Fox” has a vibrant Main Street shopping district featuring a wide range of mouthwatering eateries and delightful shops in historic buildings, each complete with their own distinct stories. Or tour includes a flight of 4-5 beers at each brewery, behind the scenes look at the brewing process and informative discussions on various beer styles. Along the way, learn some interesting facts about the history of the City. Tour stops include D and G Brewing, Pollyanna Brewing, and Alter Brewing.

D and G Brewing Owner and Brewer Alex Dreyer, a former college professor, has taken his home brewing hobby to the next level. Gain insight into his production facility, sample a flight of 4 brews from his variety of rotating beers, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere Alex refers to being like drinking in your friend’s garage.

Pollyanna Brewing Head Brewer and Co-Founder Brian Pawola learned the craft at the Siebel Institute of Technology and has turned this brewery into one of the more successful in the Western ‘Burbs. Here you get a flight of 5 beers to include some of the most consistent well-maintained flagship beers around, or experimental and one-off offerings.

Alter Brewing + Kitchen Is Alter’s newer location. Another of the Western ‘Burbs most successful breweries who love making beer that brings people together. Here you get a flight of their 4 most popular beers to include Hell Hazed Over, Alterior Motive, Hopular Kid, and Center Line. Stay after and enjoy something off their great food menu.

Minimum number of guests for tour to run is 4 people. If the minimum is not met, we will contact you ahead of your reservation to reschedule.

Generous portions of alcohol products made at each different location are included in the tour price.
