Take a swing at our Sips and Sea Dogs tour dates for 2018!

It’s time to think about baseball again. Training camps are in full swing, and as fans our minds are focused on the upcoming season. We’ve been working again with our friends at the Portland Sea Dogs, and we are pleased to announce the dates for our popular Sips and Sea Dogs tour this year! It’s now the fourth year that The Maine Brew Bus has partnered with the Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, to present a special Sips and Sea Dogs tour before select home games during the 2018 season.

This unique tour and ticket combination is available before every Friday game, as well as before each Thursday evening game this season. In addition, we are also offering this combination before the Portland Sea Dogs Baseball and Brews event on Wednesday, June 6th. That’s 17 different Sips and Sea Dogs tour dates this year!

The Sips and Sea Dogs tour departs from Hadlock Field in Portland at 3:00pm for 6:00pm game start times, and at 4:00pm for 7:00pm game starts.

The tour will bring guests to three local breweries, distilleries and/or wineries. Participants will learn about each business, meet owners and staff, take brief tours (if available), and have an opportunity to sample their craft alcohol products.

The tour will arrive back at Hadlock Field approximately 30 minutes before scheduled game time. Tours will happen rain or shine and will not be canceled or refunded if that night’s game is already postponed. If the game on the Sips and Sea Dogs tour date becomes part of a doubleheader due to previously rescheduled games, we will still be maintaining the original timetable with tour departure and arrival schedule as published. If a game is postponed while the tour is underway, guests will receive a raincheck for a future game.

Tickets are priced at just $70 per person includes the three-stop tour, transportation, bottled water, a Maine Brew Bus souvenir bag, gratuities at each stop, as well as a Portland Sea Dogs reserved game ticket for each guest. Sips and Sea Dogs guests will also receive a 20% discount coupon with each game ticket for Portland Sea Dogs merchandise that can be redeemed in the Team Store while at the game. Tickets are limited to 13 for each game, and all guests must be at least 21 years of age at the time of the tour.

All tickets now include ballpark food at the game! For games scheduled in April and May, guests will be able to use the concession at the Coca-Cola Picnic Area, or may be provided vouchers which can be used for food and drink at any of the stadium concessions. For games scheduled in June, July and August, guests will receive tickets to the game located in the U.S. Cellular Pavilion in right-field. These seats, modeled after the “Monster Seats” at Fenway Park, are some of the most unique in Minor League Baseball. They provide countertop seating and offer the only place in the ballpark to catch a home run ball. Food at the U.S. Cellular Pavilion is available through one hour after the scheduled game start time, and includes hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled BBQ chicken sandwiches, Sea Dog Biscuits, coleslaw, baked beans, and soft drinks.

Pickup and drop off is at the Hadlock Field main entrance near the Slugger the Sea Dog statue, but all guests will be instructed in advance on where to and where not to park for the duration of the tour and game. Guests purchasing alcohol for later consumption will be able to leave their purchases secured in the team general offices for the duration of the game.

All tour dates are on sale now. The Sips and Sea Dogs tour is also available as a private group tour and may be scheduled on other games dates. If you are looking for a unique outing with your friends, family, or colleagues this summer, give us a call to discuss a private Sips and Sea Dogs tour!
