New Beer Adventures On Casco Bay

Our new partnerships have allowed us to expand our offerings not only on land but also on the sea! Here are three new options to enjoy Maine craft brews while cruising around Portland Harbor and Casco Bay this season.

It’s getting closer to the Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial start to the Maine summer season. Our partners that offer on-the-water experiences are making final preparations to put their boats back in the water for another great summer of cruising around the waters off of Portland.

Our friends at Rocky Bottom Fisheries start their tour season this weekend with the Lobster Brews Cruise and Sunset Brews Cruise options. 15 of our thirsty guests are already booked on these cruises through the end of May. These tours are offered nearly every day with multiple departure times right through the end of October. Learn more…

Starting later this month and available for advance booking now, we are pleased to present three brand new boat-based options for guests to enjoy Maine craft beer in a whole new way.

SeaPortland: Fort Tour and Beer Experience

Our friends at SeaPortland have come up with a really special adventure combining Portland Harbor’s island history with craft beer on the brand new Fort Tour and Beer Experience!

Whether you are a local or visiting from away, the stone fortresses built in the early 19th century in Portland Harbor are always captivating. They are imposing reminders of days not too far gone when the defense of our coastline required their presence.

Despite their prominence, the forts are not easy to access for a variety of reasons. Most locals and visitors have never been to Fort Scammel on House Island, the only fort in Portland Harbor to see active combat.

Fortunately, the owners of Fort Scammel have partnered with us to offer private tours of this incredible historic site. And along the way and with included Maine beers in hand, we’ll cruise past some of the other great sights in the bay, including several other islands and lighthouses. Learn more…

SeaPortland: Harbor Brews Cruise

Board the Elizabeth Grace to cruise around Portland Harbor while sipping local craft beer. This 1.5-hour harbor cruise will take you out into Casco Bay.

Keep your eyes open for potential seal sightings, as well as the multiple lighthouses, islands, and forts you will see while cruising around.

On the 7:00 Sunset cruise, we will turn the bow toward Portland so you can take in a Maine sunset from the water and then cruise through Portland Harbor as the city’s nighttime skyline illuminates.
