Craft Brew Races has their next event in our hometown of Portland, Maine. Run a fun and scenic 5K around Back Cove, then enjoy beer and cider from 40 different producers. Grab tickets today and save money!
The Maine Brew Bus is a proud sponsor of the Craft Brew Races series. The events, produced by Gray Matter Marketing, consist of a relaxed (but timed) 5K run or walk followed by a craft beer festival with unlimited samples.
There are now 8 annual Craft Brew Races that are mostly in New England, but also with events conducted in beer friendly towns like Boulder, Colorado and Savannah, GA.
Our first event with Matt Gray and his company was in 2014, the inaugural year of the Craft Brew Races, and the Portland session that was held at the Portland Exposition Building in the fall. Our staffing was limited that day, so in a pinch I turned to my sister Mary and brother-in-law David to help Zach out. Happily (for us), they accepted!

Last year the Portland event was moved to the early summer, the run now staged around Back Cove, the festival held outside in Payson Park. This scenic route change made for a great event, with an amazing turnout enjoying great beers in an stunning venue.
This was remarkable since there was a simultaneous beer festival being held in at Allagash just a few miles away in Portland.
We sponsor each of the 6 events throughout New England, we have a display table at each location. What’s in it for us? An opportunity to talk to beer lovers about traveling to Portland, Maine and taking a ride on The Maine Brew Bus.
